Looped video projection with
sound in a Nissen hut, 6.50 minutes, 2005
This
video projection focuses on the steady flow of bombing missions
to the European theatre of operations during WW2. It
refers to the portrayal of a serviceman’s heaven in a 1946
film, A Matter of Life and Death, in which a pilot bails out
as his plane crashes and is torn between this world and the next.
In a dream-like courtroom he argues for the right to stay alive.
